ENGSCI 765 - Studies in Operations Research 1 (15 points)
Subject: Decision making in Engineering

Summary: Introduction to practical decision making problems in Engineering. Introduction to different techniques that support decision making. Application of those techniques in Engineering case studies and discussion of their strengths and weaknesses. Students individually working through different case studies and giving short presentations of those. Topics include: simple prioritisation, outranking approaches, analytic hierarchy process, application to group decision making, consistent decision making.
Prerequisites: Departmental approval required
