Welcome to the Department of Engineering Science

Engineering science is the discipline underpinning all modern engineering practice. The key feature of engineering science is the use of advanced mathematics and technology to solve real world engineering, business and industrial problems. The Department of Engineering Science offers two degree specialisations - one in Biomedical Engineering, and one in Engineering Science.

BE(Hons) in Engineering Science

Equip yourself to provide solutions to real world problems through the power of computers, mathematics and human intelligence.

New Zealand's Next Top Engineering Scientist competition

A problem solving competition for teams of Year 12 or 13 students. Running Saturday 10th August, registrations close Friday 2nd August.

BE(Hons) in Biomedical Engineering

Learn how to provide medical and biological solutions through the application of maths and engineering principles and techniques.
