Professor Rosalind Archer retains HOD position

13 October 2015

We are pleased to announce that Professor Rosalind Archer has agreed to retain her position as the Head of Department of Engineering Science for another term.

This is prompted by the positive feedback that highlighted her significant contribution as Head of Department for the last three years. Throughout this period, Professor Archer's energy and passion is evident in the results she has achieved within areas such as the accreditation process and building project, whilst managing a variety of successful teaching and learning programmes. Her work also helped to raise the profiles of both the Department of Engineering Science and Faculty of Engineering.

Professor Archer joined the Department of Engineering Science as a lecturer in 2002, and has been awarded a number of honours since then. She holds the Mighty River Power Chair in Geothermal Reservoir Engineering, is the director of the Geothermal Institute, and was named a Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) earlier this year.
